Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Carpenter with strong experience in metal stud framing to perform structural and finish carpentry work on commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of construction plans, building codes, and safety practices, and can work independently or as part of a crew to meet project schedules and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Install metal stud framing for walls, soffits, ceilings, and bulkheads Layout work from blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications Frame doors, windows, and openings to architectural and code requirements Install backing, blocking, and bracing as required Coordinate framing work with drywall, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection trades Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently Ensure work is plumb, level, square, and compliant with building codes Maintain a clean and safe job site in accordance with OSHA standards Identify and resolve field issues related to framing conflicts or design changes Mentor apprentices or less experienced carpenters as needed Qualifications Journeyman Carpenter certification or equivalent experience Proven experience with metal stud framing on commercial projects Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations Proficient with carpentry tools and equipment Physically capable of lifting materials, working at heights, and standing for extended periods Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team Preferred Skills Experience with drywall installation and acoustic ceiling systems Familiarity with commercial build-outs, tenant improvements, or hospital/office construction OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Lift or scaffold training Work Environment Commercial construction sites Indoor and outdoor conditions occasional overtime depending on project needs

Pay:

$30.00 - $45.00 per hour
