The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry tasks and be proficient in working with hand tools and construction materials. This role involves working on a variety of projects, including residential and commercial construction, restoration, and maintenance tasks. The Carpenter will play a crucial role in ensuring that all work is completed to high standards of quality and safety. Duties Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard. Perform drywall installation and finishing to ensure smooth surfaces. Execute construction painting tasks as needed for aesthetic finishes. Utilize caulking techniques to seal joints and seams for weatherproofing. Assemble equipment, cabinetry, and other wooden structures according to specifications. Work with siding materials to enhance the exterior of buildings. Engage in concrete forming for foundations and other structural elements. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project timelines are met. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction or restoration industry. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in carpentry work. Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations related to carpentry. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical drawings and plans accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods. A valid driver's license and insurance is required for this job.
