20/30/hr Year round work / Permanent Opportunity Job Description This role focuses on building and finishing large custom modular buildings, including schools, hospitals, banks, restaurants, and offices. You will work on-site in Leola, PA as part of a construction team, completing both rough and finish carpentry tasks from framing through final installation. The position requires strong blueprint reading skills, experience with both metal and wood components, and the ability to follow detailed plans to deliver high-quality modular units. Responsibilities Report to the assigned modular construction site and prepare work areas for daily tasks. Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to understand project specifications and layout. Perform rough and finish carpentry work for modular building units, including framing, trimming, and detailed finish work. Install ceiling grids and complete related drywall work according to plans and quality standards. Work with both metal and wood materials to build and assemble modular components. Use a full range of hand tools and carpentry tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, assemble, and install materials. Coordinate with on-site trades such as plumbers, electricians, welders, HVAC, and general laborers to ensure smooth project progress. Assist with installation tasks related to modular build-outs, including mechanical, piping, and related construction activities as needed. Follow commercial construction practices and standards to ensure durable, code-compliant work. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety procedures and site rules. Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and alignment with project specifications, making adjustments as necessary. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members about project status, material needs, and any issues encountered. Essential Skills 5+ years of carpentry experience preferred, with consideration for candidates with 1-5 years or less than 1 year of experience based on skill level. Proficiency in rough and finish carpentry, including framing and detailed finish work. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings. Experience working with both metal and wood materials in a construction setting. Hands-on experience installing ceiling grids and performing drywall work. Strong skills using hand tools and standard carpentry tools safely and effectively. Commercial construction or residential construction that translates well to modular projects. Ability to work collaboratively with other trades such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and welding teams. Solid understanding of basic mechanical and installation principles in a construction environment. Why Work Here?
