This position involves working with several mediums such as concrete, rubber, fiber and wood to create high-quality cast stone products, ensuring molds are accurately crafted and maintained for optimal production. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in construction, carpentry, and fabrication, combined with a proactive attitude and a passion for craftsmanship. Responsibilities Assist in the fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of molds used in cast stone production, ensuring all components meet precise specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to facilitate accurate mold construction and repair processes. Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently to shape, cut, and assemble mold components. Perform heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large or bulky materials required for mold manufacturing or restoration projects. Conduct repairs on molds or related structures using skills in carpentry, masonry, metal stud framing, or plastering as needed. Support rebar installation, concrete forming, siding, roofing, tile laying, flooring installation, and other construction activities relevant to mold shop operations. Assist with restoration projects involving water damage remediation, stucco application, caulking, fixture installation, door hanging, cabinetry work, or remodeling tasks. Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to safety protocols and ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored after use. Collaborate with team members on schematic interpretation for complex fabrication tasks or repairs. Support mold remediation efforts by applying industry best practices in restoration industry experience roles. Skills Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and blueprint reading techniques. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and fabrication equipment used in mold shop operations. Experience in carpentry disciplines such as trim carpentry, frame carpentry, woodworking, metal stud framing, or cabinet installation. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during assembly or repair tasks. Familiarity with concrete forming processes and masonry work essential for mold creation. Knowledge of plastering techniques and stucco application for finishing mold surfaces. Experience with rebar installation and steel fabrication relevant to structural components of molds. Skills in roofing installation or siding work beneficial for specific restoration projects within the facility. Electrical experience or plumbing skills advantageous for supporting fixture installation or utility connections in molds. Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately for precise fabrication work. Prior experience in manufacturing environments or the restoration industry is highly desirable.
