Merritt Island, FL Job Summary Superior Skilled Trades is seeking experienced Carpenters for a project in Merritt Island, FL. This role requires skills in framing and rough carpentry. Candidates must be skilled in blueprint reading, precision measuring, and material take-offs. Strong safety awareness and the ability to deliver high-quality, accurate workmanship is essential. Duties / Responsibilities
Perform framing, finish, and rough carpentry including walls, floors, roofs, and structural components. Execute rough carpentry tasks such as formwork, shoring, and structural builds. Perform flooring installation including hardwood, subfloor, and engineered wood. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Perform accurate measurements, layout work, and material take-offs. Use hand, power, and pneumatic tools safely and effectively. Ensure all work meets quality standards, specifications, and OSHA safety requirements. Work at heights including ladders and scaffolding when required. Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and stakeholders to complete projects on schedule. Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times. Tools & Equipment Hand tools (hammers, chisels, saws, planes) Power tools (circular saws, jigsaws, routers, drills) Pneumatic tools (nail guns, staplers) Measuring tools (levels, squares, tape measures) Blueprint & Planning Blueprint and schematic reading Accurate measurement and layout Material estimation and take-offs Mathematical Skills Basic geometry and trigonometry Calculating angles, cuts, and dimensions Material waste and efficiency calculations Physical & Soft Skills Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical labor in demanding environments Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination Ability to work at heights (ladders and scaffolding) Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Excellent problem-solving skills Strong communication and teamwork abilities Time management and ability to meet deadlines OSHA safety awareness and compliance mindset Knowledge Areas Building codes and construction standards Joinery techniques and fastening methods Adhesives, hardware, and construction materials Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply today for immediate consideration with Superior Skilled Trades!
