Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Concrete Finisher Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise concrete finishing tasks and performing carpentry work related to concrete structures. Your expertise will help ensure the durability, safety, and aesthetic quality of various construction projects, including commercial, residential, and renovation sites. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your craftsmanship and technical skills while contributing to the creation of high-quality built environments. Responsibilities Finish concrete surfaces with techniques such as troweling, floating, and edging to achieve smooth, level finishes. Install rebar and metal reinforcement according to schematics and safety standards to provide structural integrity. Operate power tools and hand tools safely for cutting, shaping, and assembling formwork and other carpentry components. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications. Perform concrete forming tasks, including setting up forms and molds for pouring concrete structures like walls, floors, and stairs. Conduct rebar installation and placement to reinforce concrete elements in compliance with engineering plans. Assist with heavy lifting and the operation of heavy equipment such as concrete mixers, pumps, or cranes when necessary. Apply finishing techniques such as caulking, stucco application, or plastering to enhance surface quality and appearance. Support renovation projects by restoring existing structures through masonry, framing, or restoration techniques. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and maintains a clean work environment on-site. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and equipment operation. Proven experience in construction estimating for project planning and material procurement. Expertise in rebar installation, concrete finishing, formwork setup, and masonry work. Skilled in using hand tools (hammers, chisels) and power tools (drills, saws) efficiently and safely. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately for precise execution. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including mixers, pumps, or cranes is a plus. Experience with flooring installation, tile laying, roofing basics, or metal stud framing is advantageous. Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and heavy lifting procedures. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with other trades such as carpenters or masons. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or ability to operate heavy machinery may be preferred for certain projects.
