Perform advanced finish carpentry work in residential homes under construction, installing custom trim, moldings, cabinets, stairs, and doors with precise measurements and exceptional craftsmanship. Interpret detailed blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications, plan layouts, and calculate material and fabrication requirements while ensuring compliance with building codes. Prepare project layouts using advanced measuring tools and techniques, and shape, cut, and modify materials to exact specifications with a variety of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery. Assemble, secure, and adjust structural and finish components using specialized fastening methods, and build or erect scaffolding and temporary supports to safely complete elevated work. Perform finishing tasks including sanding, staining, painting, varnishing, and coating surfaces using brushes, spray guns, or rollers to achieve high-quality finishes. Identify and resolve fit, alignment, structural, and material issues that require independent judgment and skilled problem-solving. Conduct on-site quality control to ensure all work meets precise tolerances and finish standards. Estimate time, labor, and material needs for assigned projects and coordinate with team members to ensure efficient workflow. Maintain compliance with safety requirements and a clean, organized work environment. Daily travel to job sites within the North Port-Sarasota-Bradenton, FL MSA.
