In this role, you will be responsible for crafting, installing, and restoring a variety of structures and custom fixtures with precision and craftsmanship. Your expertise will contribute to high-quality projects across construction, restoration, manufacturing, and remodeling industries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that require technical skill, creativity, and attention to detail. You will collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional results while ensuring safety and efficiency on every job site. The Carpenter / Custom Fabrication Specialist is responsible for constructing, assembling, and installing custom-built projects ranging from restaurant interiors and bars to trade show exhibits, furniture, signage structures, displays, and architectural elements. This role requires someone who enjoys solving problems, working with a variety of materials, and producing high-quality craftsmanship. The ideal candidate is comfortable moving between shop fabrication and field installation environments. Responsibilities Carpentry & Fabrication Build custom bars and countertops Construct cabinetry and millwork Fabricate custom displays and exhibits Build restaurant interior features Assemble trade show and event structures Build furniture and architectural elements Fabricate sign structures and mounting systems Assist with prototype development Installation Install cabinetry and millwork Install architectural features Install displays and exhibit components Install wall treatments and decorative elements Perform punch-list and finish work Ensure professional job site appearance Shop Operations Read and interpret drawings and shop plans Measure and layout projects accurately Operate woodworking equipment safely Maintain tools and work areas Assist with material management and inventory Collaboration Work with project managers and designers Coordinate with painters, installers, welders, electricians, and subcontractors Assist with project planning and execution Contribute ideas for fabrication efficiency and quality improvements Required Skills Strong carpentry skills Ability to read tape measures accurately Knowledge of construction methods and materials Experience with custom fabrication Strong problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail Preferred Experience Experience with: Finish carpentry Cabinetry Millwork Restaurant construction Countertop fabrication Trade show exhibits Display fabrication Custom furniture Architectural woodworking Equipment Experience Preferred experience operating: Table saws Miter saws Routers Drill presses Sanders CNC routers Pocket hole systems Biscuit joiners Laminate tools
