Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Framer to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. As a Framer, you will play a crucial role in the construction of residential and commercial structures by assembling and erecting wooden frameworks. This position requires a high level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of blueprints and building codes. The ideal candidate will have experience in framing and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and stability of the structures we build, making this role essential to our operations. Essential Functions:
Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine specifications and materials required for framing projects. Measure and cut framing materials, including lumber and plywood, to the appropriate lengths and angles. Construct wooden frames for buildings, walls, floors, and roofs according to specifications. Install and secure structural components such as joists, beams, and trusses in adherence to building codes and safety regulations. Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure proper integration of structures and utilities. Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirements and local building codes. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are handled safely and responsibly.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a framer or in a related carpentry field. Strong understanding of framing techniques, building codes, and safety regulations. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments appropriate for framing work. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and other construction specialists.
