Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic construction team as an Apprentice Carpenter/Laborer and kickstart your career in the skilled trades industry! This paid entry-level position offers hands-on experience working alongside seasoned carpenters and construction professionals. You will learn essential skills in carpentry, framing, and site preparation while contributing to a variety of building projects. Whether you're interested in residential, commercial, or restoration work, this role provides a solid foundation for growth and development within the construction field. Responsibilities Assist with measuring, cutting, and assembling materials using hand tools and power tools to support carpentry tasks. Help with framing walls, installing siding, doors, windows, and fixtures according to project specifications and blueprints. Support concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry work to ensure structural integrity. Participate in restoration projects including water damage remediation, plastering, stucco application, and mold remediation. Handle heavy lifting and material transportation safely across the job site while adhering to safety protocols. Read schematics and blueprints to understand project layouts and installation requirements. Assist with roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, cabinetry, and drywall finishing as needed. Skills Strong interest in construction trades with a willingness to learn and develop new skills. Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment operation. Experience or familiarity with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively at heights or confined spaces. Understanding of construction estimating processes and material fabrication techniques is a plus. Experience in siding installation, door hanging, fixture installation, or remodeling projects is advantageous. Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude toward safety standards and quality workmanship. Pay:
$23.00 - $28.00 per hour
