Job Description
At Festive Lighting Pros, we don't build houses — we build experiences, displays, and one-of-a-kind structures. From parade floats and holiday installations to branded event builds and custom display pieces, our work is highly creative, fast-moving, and rarely follows a standard blueprint. We're looking for a highly skilled, creative carpenter who can take an idea — sometimes just a sketch — and turn it into a finished, functional structure. This is not a traditional residential carpentry role. If you're looking to build decks or standard projects, this isn't the job. If you enjoy figuring things out, building outside the box, and bringing concepts to life, this is exactly that. What You'll Build Parade floats and large-scale event installations Holiday and seasonal display structures Branded environments and promotional displays Custom fabrication projects and specialty builds Showroom and visual merchandising structures Unique, one-off builds that don't follow standard plans What You'll Do Build from sketches, concepts, and custom drawings (not just full blueprints) Perform framing, finish carpentry, and custom fabrication Adapt builds in real-time as designs evolve Solve unexpected challenges with creative, out-of-the-box thinking Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and efficiently Collaborate with a small, skilled team to execute complex builds Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces
What We're Looking For Required:
5+ years of professional carpentry experience Strong skills in custom builds, fabrication, and structural work Ability to build from incomplete plans, sketches, or concepts Proven problem-solving ability in non-standard builds Strong layout, measuring, and construction fundamentals Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Own basic carpentry tools Willingness to travel to other company locations as needed Must Include Portfolio of completed work Verifiable professional references Ideal Candidate Traits Creative and highly resourceful Comfortable working on one-off, non-repeatable projects Able to think through and solve problems independently Confident building without a "step-by-step" process Takes pride in both functionality and visual impact Bonus Experience Event, scenic, or set construction Float building or themed installations Display or exhibit fabrication Welding or light metal work Blueprint reading and/or design software (SketchUp, AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS
) What We Offer $25-$30/hour depending on experience Consistent Monday-Friday schedule Paid travel opportunities Access to tools and fabrication space Year-round work with a growing national brand Highly creative, visually impactful projects Apply Here https://form.asana.com/?k=bfX_IT4HeIOUtcIMV2Vpng&d=1206304395694887Job Type:
