Title:

Glazier Under general supervision, installs, replaces and repairs glass windows, mirrors and related items for the DeKalb County School District (DCSD). We are seeking a skilled Glazier to join our team, responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass in various structures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction practices and have experience working with hand and power tools. This role requires attention to detail, precision in measurements, and the ability to read blueprints effectively.

Essential Functions:

The following duties are representative for this position. Repairs and replaces windows and mirrors. Conducts routine and special inspections. Orders glass and other related supplies. Performs emergency repair calls during the workday. Makes on-call emergency calls after hours if needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Proven experience as a Glazier or in a related construction role. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to glazing work. Ability to read blueprints and follow technical instructions accurately. Knowledge of frame carpentry and drywall installation is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship. Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, lifting, and climbing for extended periods. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent required with minimum of three (3) years of window installation/repair or closely related experience and demonstration of proficiency necessary to perform the duties for the position.
