Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter to work as part of an existing crew installing Renewal by Andersen replacement windows and door in individual homes. Our crews work year round and we strive to make every installation job a Signature Service experience for the homeowner. Our windows are custom made in Minnesota, then delivered to our local warehouse in Dubuque. We are specifically looking for help in Cedar Rapids, but you may occasionally report to a jobsite other parts of Eastern Iowa. Our installers are members of the Carpenters Union, so you get great pay and solid benefits. Duties Protect the existing home, remove old windows and doors for replacement. Move new windows from the work truck to the window opening. Help install the window, including shimming and insulating. Install interior and exterior trim, including bending aluminum brake metal Be proficient and using power tools and hand tools. Following factory standards, install windows, trim, insulation and caulk. Remove old windows from the property and keep a consistenly clean workspace. Exhibit care and concern for the home and occupants. Coordinate and communicate any installation concerns with the installation coordinators and managers by phone, text or email. Abide by all OSHA regulations, state and local laws. Be able to perform other basic home improvement repairs such as painting, siding installation and drywall repair.
