This role combines hands-on carpentry skills with project management expertise to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, restoration, and carpentry, along with excellent organizational and communication skills. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from remodeling and renovation to specialized restoration work, while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Typical work schedule is 40 hours per week with limited overtime. Responsibilities Oversee all phases of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and execution. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project implementation. Perform various carpentry tasks such as framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, cabinet installation, siding, and drywall finishing Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Work with project management systems to keep project on time and in budget. Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and team members to ensure smooth project flow. Manage site safety protocols, conduct inspections for quality control, and ensure compliance with safety regulations Handle remodeling projects involving kitchens, bathrooms, basement finishing, and whole house remodeling. Assist in fabrication and assembly of custom components and build custom pieces as needed. Maintain detailed project documentation including logs, reports, change orders and progress updates. Skills Extensive experience in blueprint reading with a strong understanding of schematics and technical drawings Proficiency in carpentry disciplines including trim carpentry, frame carpentry, framing, cabinetry installation, door hanging, window installation, and siding Skilled in the use of hand tools (saws, hammers, chisels), power tools (drills, saws), and specialized equipment such as sheet metal brake and scaffolding systems Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to OSHA standards or local safety regulations Familiarity with plumbing systems; electrical experience is a plus for integrated project tasks but not required Strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail Excellent communication skills for coordinating teams and liaising with clients or stakeholders Ability to read schematics accurately; experience with manufacturing or fabrication processes is advantageous We are looking for extremely driven individuals who can work with a team in a coach capacity to bring out the best in their crew.
