Safety Sensitive _____________________________________________________________________________ Job Summary Constructs, erects, installs, or repairs structures and fixtures made of wood, such as concrete forms; building frameworks, including partitions, joists, studding, and rafters; wood stairways, window and door frames, and hardwood floors. Essential Job Duties Work with construction materials including wood, metal, paints, adhesives, glass, fiberglass, drywall, asphalt, brick and concrete. Use hand tools and other machinery to fabricate, repair, modify, and install shelving, cabinets, walls, partitions, promotional displays, roofing, doors, and exterior & interior finishes. Perform hardware & construction assembly repairs throughout the facility. Install, modify, and repair sidewalks, driveways, parking slabs & landings, foundations, footings, retaining walls, barricades and other masonry work throughout the facility. Use and maintain tools & equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations & industry standards. Review, verify, and follow all applicable codes & regulations, manufacturer recommendations, and industry standards regarding equipment, systems, and work practices. Assist and coordinate with a variety of skilled trade personnel to complete job assignments. Submit progress reports, job reports, and completed work orders issued by Department Management in a timely manner. Communicate and network effectively with staff, other departments, and outside representatives in order to maintain a productive and effective department operation. Safeguard and account for the assets of the owners. Comply with policies and procedures required by the department, the company, the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission, and the National Indian Gaming Commission. Monitor the casino environment and follow established safety procedures to provide for the safety of guests and co-workers. Work respectfully and effectively as part of the company team to ensure guest satisfaction, asset protection, and co-worker respect. Report to work on time and as required in professional attire, display a high level of personal cleanliness and follow personal appearance standards. Sup plemental Job Duties Provide maintenance service to other departments as requested via radio dispatch and work order requests. Aid other co-workers on assigned project to meet deadline. Keep time, material for assigned work orders, submits to supervisor upon completion. Submit Daily Report (work log) to supervisor at end of shift. Attend all required meetings and training sessions. Perform other job related duties as assigned. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions May be exposed to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment. Moderate lifting and pulling up to 50 pounds is required. Significant reaching, twisting, crawling, stooping, grasping, climbing, kneeling, and use of hands, wrists, arms and legs are required. There will be moderate exposure to hot and cold temperature variations, dust, odors, elevated working conditions, and hazardous equipment. Must be confidential.
Minimum Job Qualifications Knowledge/Education/Work Experiences:
Requires a high school diploma or GED with Certification/diploma from a one to two-year trade school, or three (3) years of on-the-job-training with a licensed contractor. Valid Iowa Driver License is preferred. Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission.
Skills/Abilities:
Must be able to meet deadlines and work independently with limited supervision. Must be able to follow all Environment, Public Health, and Safety (EPHS) requirements. Must have strong computer skills. Must be able to handle busy and stressful situations. Must possess poise and tact. Must be flexible with working hours and days off. Must have good organizational and communication skills. Must have knowledge of blueprints and schematics with attention to details. Must be able to meet all non-supervisory training and education requirements.
