Lead Carpenter / Foreman Residential & Light Commercial

Position Overview Knox Roofing & Construction is hiring a skilled Lead Carpenter / Foreman to run jobs in our construction division. This is a hands-on leadership role —you will be expected to both work and lead . This is a full-time, year-round position . We are not seasonal—we keep our crews working consistently. We are not hiring a laborer. We need a well-rounded journeyman who can take ownership of projects, manage small crews, and execute work efficiently. Scope of Work Exterior siding repairs and replacements Interior TI (tenant improvements) Demo and rebuild work Minor sheetrock/drywall repair and patching General carpentry (framing, trim, punch work) Job site setup, organization, and closeout Key Responsibilities Lead and direct crew on-site (2-5 guys typically) Read and execute basic scopes and plans Maintain job quality and production pace Communicate with office and management daily Identify problems early and solve them without supervision Keep jobs clean, safe, and on schedule Requirements Proven experience as a carpenter (journeyman level) Prior foreman or crew lead experience preferred Strong understanding of construction processes (interior + exterior) Ability to work independently and make decisions Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Professional attitude—shows up, communicates, gets it done Compensation & Benefits $24-$30/hour (based on experience) Full-time, steady year-round work 401(k) plan Paid vacation Paid sick days Dental and vision insurance Opportunity for growth into larger leadership roles What We're Looking For We want someone who: Takes ownership of their jobs Doesn't need babysitting Can lead a crew and produce quality work Wants consistent work and long-term stability
