Commercial Carpenter

Commercial Carpenter - Full Time We are hiring a skilled Commercial Carpenter to join a growing construction team working on high‑quality commercial projects. This is a great opportunity for an experienced carpenter who takes pride in precision, safety, and solid craftsmanship. What You'll Do As a Commercial Carpenter, you'll play a key role in bringing commercial build‑outs to life by performing a variety of framing and finish tasks, including: Wood and metal stud framing for commercial interiors Installation of acoustic ceiling systems Drywall backing and layout work Reading and interpreting blueprints to accurately lay out framing systems Installing commercial doors, frames, and hardware (locks, closers, panic devices) Using hand and power tools efficiently and safely Maintaining a clean, organized, and safety‑compliant job site You'll work both independently and alongside a team of experienced professionals to deliver quality results on schedule. What We're Looking For 3+ years of commercial carpentry experience Strong knowledge of framing, doors, and acoustic ceiling systems Ability to read blueprints and perform accurate layouts Experience working with both wood and metal studs Proficiency with hand and power tools Strong attention to detail and work ethic Commitment to job‑site safety and quality workmanship Certifications (Preferred) OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Boom Lift and/or Scissor Lift certification First Aid and CPR certifications Why This Opportunity Steady, full‑time work on commercial projects Work with a professional, safety‑focused team Opportunity to apply your skills across diverse installations Competitive pay based on experience Room for growth and long‑term advancement Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elmwood Park, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
