Job Description

Job Overview LHDG is a locally owned and operated construction that's been in business for over 30 years. We provide construction and remodeling services as well as design and installation for both commercial and residential projects. We offer great opportunities for growth and advancement. We're looking for a skilled tradesman with experience in trim/general carpentry to join our growing team. Duties Measure, cut, assemble, and install various trim elements including baseboards, crown molding, door casings, window trims, and custom millwork using hand tools and power tools. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, or applying primer to ensure smooth finishes. Collaborate with framing carpenters and other trades to coordinate installation processes on-site. Perform repairs or modifications on existing trim work during renovation or restoration projects. Utilize construction estimating skills to assess material needs and ensure efficient resource management. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and properly handling heavy lifting tasks. Install cabinetry, casework, and custom millwork with a focus on accuracy and finish quality Complete finish carpentry tasks including doors, frames, and hardware installation Assist with demolition, wall layout, rough carpentry, and metal stud framing when needed Work closely with project managers and other trades to keep projects organized and progressing smoothly Qualifications 2+ years of experience in trim carpentry, framing carpentry, or related construction roles Proficiency with hand tools (saws, chisels, hammers), power tools (drills, sanders), and fabrication equipment. Knowledge of construction estimating techniques for material procurement and project planning. Experience with drywall finishing, plastering, stucco application, siding installation, roofing basics, and cabinetry is highly desirable. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights safely; comfortable working on ladders or scaffolding. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to construction sites including proper handling of tools and materials. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail Authorized to work in the U.S. Valid driver's license Reliable transportation High school diploma or equivalent
Pay:
$26.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
