Carpenter

Geary Builders Carpenter Adams, MA Apply We are seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter to join our team for commercial and residential construction and remodeling projects. The ideal candidate has strong carpentry skills, experience working on commercial and residential job sites, and the ability to complete tasks safely and efficiently. Candidates with supervisory or crew leadership experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, and install wood/metal studs, drywall, and other construction materials
• Perform rough and finish carpentry, drywall installation including taping, sanding and painting, door/window installation, and other related tasks as required per project
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and construction plans (Preferred)
• Ensure work is completed according to project specifications and building codes
• Maintain a clean and safe job site following construction safety standards
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades
• Assist with layout and project planning as needed

Additional Requirements:

• 3-5+ years of carpentry experience (commercial/residential experience preferred)
• Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings (Preferred)
• Experience with hand tools and power tools
• Valid driver\'s license and reliable transportation required to travel to and from multiple project locations
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or scaffolding
• Must be punctual, dependable, and have a strong work ethic
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and clients
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and maintain a clean job site
• OSHA certification or safety training (preferred)
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening (if required)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with metal stud framing and drop ceiling systems
• Knowledge of commercial construction practices
• OSHA 10 or Higher certification preferred
• Experience working in commercial environments is a plus
