Carpenter | Residential Remodeling | Greater Boston area | Grow with a small, quality-focused company To apply: fill out our short application here: https://forms.gle/SgThBkSWsctvUCiy6 GS Builders Inc. is hiring a carpenter to join our small team running residential remodels across Cambridge, Somerville, Lexington, Arlington, Newton, and surrounding towns. Our bread and butter is bathrooms, kitchens, whole-home renovations, and decks, and we're growing into small additions and bigger projects as our team grows into them. Quality over quantity is how we work. Client interaction is a huge priority, and we push to do a little better on every project. We're looking for a carpenter who wants to grow with us and cares about the work the same way we do. We're positivity-driven. We spend more time with each other on job sites than we do with our own families, so attitude matters as much as skill. We want someone with a can-do approach who can communicate respectfully even when things get stressful, because they will. What you'll do day to day: Work alongside our small team on active job sites: demo, framing, trim, doors and windows, drywall and patching, tile rough-in coordination and a ton more - be flexible! Plan the day with the owner and execute on the plan Think on your feet when something doesn't go as planned, and communicate clearly when you need help Keep job sites clean, organized, and homeowner-friendly Use our construction management software (JobTread) on your phone to clock in and out, write short daily logs, and handle other small back-end tasks Where this role goes: The right person will take on more over time: running jobs solo, coordinating subs, planning ahead, leading on bigger projects. We'll give you the runway to grow as fast as you can handle. What we're looking for: 3+ years of residential remodeling experience, comfortable with framing, finish carpentry, and the basics of kitchen and bath rough-in coordination, Strong fundamentals you can build on, more than a polished resume Wants to learn, takes feedback well, willing to be wrong and adjust Reliable, organized, communicates clearly and respectfully Comfortable using basic apps on your phone for clocking in and daily logs Owns a basic tool kit, has reliable transportation, valid driver's license Authorized to work in the US as a W-2 employee What we offer: $28-45/hour depending on experience, with real room to grow as you take on more Year-end bonus based on performance Branded uniforms (hats, shirts, hoodies, jackets) provided Steady year-round work Small team, hands-on owner, real say in how jobs get run, real path to more responsibility To apply: fill out our short application here: https://forms.gle/SgThBkSWsctvUCiy6 We'll review every submission and reach out within a week if there's a fit.
