Rebel is seeking a part-time Carpenter or Carpentry Assistant to join the team to help drive construction projects from beginning to end. This position will work on multiple projects as part of a diverse collaborative team with a shared commitment to design excellence, buildability, client service, and the professional growth opportunities that come from working at a start-up company. For the right candidate, this part-time position could lead to full-time employment following the 6-month probationary period. Duties & Responsibilities The duties and responsibilities include: Work with the Construction team to execute projects. Must be self-motivated, well organized, detail-oriented, and punctual. Work on-site to fill the gaps between trades, correct mistakes, and problem-solve details. Assist the Site Supervisors/Lead Carpenters and Project Managers to collaborate with the design team during both the design and construction phases to facilitate the best solutions for the project. Assist the site supervisor in supervising construction work performed by subcontractors. Corroborate that all work done by trades follows the plans and design. Flag any changes and report to the site supervisor and project manager. Assist the construction team in keeping a tidy and well-organized job site. Communicate with construction and design teams daily, about project progress. Record information and photos from work performed on-site to create daily logs. Assist construction team in reviewing deliveries, inspecting items to make sure they are delivered on time, and in good conditions, and matching the Selections/quotes accordingly. Retrieve various construction materials for daily project operations. Log purchases with Project Manager/Site Supervisor. This is an on-the-job learning position. Applicant must be engaged in seeking out new information and skills, and applying them in the field. This position will be working under the direct supervision of a Lead Carpenter/Site Supervisor. Must be able to work in variable temperatures both indoors and outdoors. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at a time. This job requires the ability to lift heavy equipment, packages, and products weighing up to and exceeding 50 lbs. Promote a good image of the company before the public. Adhere to expectations for jobsite professionalism at all times, including positive attitude, appropriate team dress, conduct, organization, cleanliness, etc Work as a team to hold all team members accountable for production goals in design and construction. Requirements Intermediate hand & power tool knowledge Ability to read measuring tools & plans A reliable car 1-3 years of professional residential carpentry experience (preferred) OSHA 10 (preferred) Wage & Benefits​ Wage Range (based on experience level): $18•$26 per hour (20•32 hours/week)​ We strongly encourage applications from people with these identities: people of color, people from working class backgrounds, women, LGBTQ people and/or people who are members of other marginalized communities.
