Job Description
A growing home improvement company based in Crofton, Maryland, is seeking an experienced and dependable Carpenter with a minimum of five (5) years of residential construction and remodeling experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of framing, decking, and various aspects of home remodeling. This position requires the ability to work independently, manage projects efficiently, and consistently deliver high-quality workmanship with minimal supervision. The successful candidate must be comfortable working directly with county inspectors and ensuring all work meets local building codes, approved plans, and inspection requirements. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of carpentry and residential remodeling experience Strong knowledge of framing, decking, and general construction practices Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans Experience working with building inspectors and passing required inspections Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills Strong leadership abilities and professional work ethic Good verbal and written communication skills Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Maryland Must provide own hand tools and basic trade equipment Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Wood and structural framing Deck construction and repairs Bathroom remodeling Basement finishing and remodeling Drywall installation and repair Interior and exterior door installation Roofing and siding repairs/installations General residential remodeling and construction projects Maintaining a safe and organized job site Coordinating with project managers, inspectors, and homeowners as needed We offer a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
