Job Description
Overview Ocean Pines Handyman is looking for a reliable, skilled, and detail-oriented Handyman/Carpenter to join our growing local team. We serve homeowners in Ocean Pines and the surrounding area with high-quality repair, maintenance, carpentry, and home improvement services. This role is best suited for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well with customers and team members, shows up on time, and can confidently handle a wide range of residential repair and improvement projects. You'll be working in occupied homes, so professionalism, cleanliness, problem-solving, and respect for the customer's property are just as important as craftsmanship. Duties Perform a wide range of residential handyman and carpentry tasks, including trim work, door repairs and installation, shelving, cabinets, drywall repairs, minor framing, wood repairs, and general home maintenance. Complete small to mid-sized repair and improvement projects with quality, efficiency, and attention to detail. Install, repair, or replace fixtures, hardware, doors, trim, flooring, tile, siding, decking components, and other common household materials. Handle basic drywall patching, caulking, painting touch-ups, weatherproofing, and general finish work. Assist with minor plumbing and electrical-related tasks within appropriate skill level and licensing requirements. Diagnose home repair issues, recommend practical solutions, and communicate clearly with the team about materials, time needed, and project scope. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in customers' homes. Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and jobsite equipment safely and responsibly. Load, unload, and transport tools and materials as needed. Represent Ocean Pines Handyman professionally with homeowners, vendors, and team members. Follow company standards for quality, safety, communication, and customer service. Experience Hands-on experience in handyman work, carpentry, residential remodeling, maintenance, or a related trade. Strong working knowledge of common residential repairs and building materials. Experience with doors, trim, drywall, decks, minor framing, hardware installation, punch-list work, and general home repairs. Comfortable using common hand tools and power tools, including saws, drills, impact drivers, nail guns, sanders, levels, and measuring tools. Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete work without constant supervision. Experience working in customers' homes is strongly preferred. Painting, tile, flooring, siding, cabinet, or deck repair experience is a plus. Must be able to lift materials, climb ladders, work on your feet, and safely perform physical tasks throughout the day.
