Carpenter Helper / Laborer

Job Overview Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated Carpenter/ Helper to assist our skilled carpentry team in various construction, and remodeling projects. The ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn, a good work ethic, and a passion for the carpentry trade. This position requires physical stamina and a team-oriented attitude to support carpenters in performing tasks efficiently and safely. Pay dependent on experience. We do have lead positions.

Key Responsibilities:

Measuring, cutting, and shaping materials such as wood, plastic, and drywall. Help in the installation of structures and fixtures, including framing, flooring, and cabinetry. Prepare job sites by cleaning up debris and removing old fixtures or materials as needed. Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and job sites. Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition. Follow safety protocols and guidelines, using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (hard hats, safety glasses, work boots, etc). Operate basic hand tools and power tools under the supervision of a carpenter. Help keep the work area organized and well-maintained throughout the project. Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in construction or carpentry is a plus. Basic knowledge of carpentry tools and techniques is beneficial. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Reliable transportation (truck) to and from job sites. Reliable transportation (truck) to go pick up job materials as needed
