We are currently seeking an experienced carpenter to join our team and contribute to the continued success of our projects.
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and reliable carpenter with at least 3 years of experience to work on various construction projects, from framing to finishing. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a dedication to safety, a solid understanding of carpentry techniques, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The candidate must be willing to go through lead and asbestos training and perform abatement services.
Key Responsibilities:
Measure, cut, and install wood, drywall, and other materials. Build and install frameworks, staircases, doors, windows, cabinets, and other structures. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications. Ensure that all work is performed to the highest quality standards and complies with local building codes and safety regulations. Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment safely. Assist with project planning, layout, and execution. Use a metal brake to bend coil stock around doors, windows, and other structural components. Collaborate with other trades and project managers to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Perform lead abatement activities and rebuild after abatement, training will be provided.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of carpentry experience, with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery. Experience with metal brake operation and the ability to bend coil stock around doors, windows, and other structural components. Ability to read and understand construction blueprints and technical drawings. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various physical conditions. Must be willing to obtain lead abatement certification (company-paid training).
