Foreman Role Intent The Journeyman is a skilled carpenter responsible for producing quality work independently, following company standards, and contributing directly to jobsite production. This role owns their work from start to finish and supports the success of the crew by maintaining productivity, aligning with jobsite leadership, and helping develop Apprentices. Journeymen are expected to understand not just how to do the work—but why it is done that way. Core Responsibilities
- Complete assigned work independently with minimal supervision
- Produce consistent, high-quality work that meets company standards
- Read and interpret plans, layouts, and specifications (or actively progress toward mastery)
- Understand tools, materials, and proper construction methods
- Perform layout, measuring, cutting, and installation for framing, subfloors, walls, roofs, and finish elements
- Operate tools and equipment safely (including saws, nailers, skid steer, scissor lift as needed)
- Stay productive and manage your time and workflow throughout the day
- Identify issues early and communicate them before they impact the job
- Support the Foreman and Ace by executing work in alignment with direction and helping maintain production flow
- Reinforce jobsite expectations by setting the example in quality, pace, and attitude
- Assist in training Apprentices by demonstrating proper methods and reinforcing standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and clients, helping ensure a positive experience and representing the company to a high standard. What Success Looks Like

- Strong working knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and methods
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform accurate layout
- Ability to read and interpret plans (or actively improving)
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to operate basic construction equipment (or willingness to learn quickly)

Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
