General Assembler Location:
4134 Davison Rd, Burton, MI, 48509
Shift:
1st shift
Monday-Friday:
6am-4:30pm
Saturday:
6am-2:30pm Sunday's voluntary
Pay Rate:
$18.54/hour Summary We are seeking a General Assembler to work on our 1st Shift at our Burton and Fenton locations. The hours are 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday, with overtime as required on weekends as needed for production. What You Will Be Doing Assemble walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as: wood, steel, metal, plastics, drywall and composites of multiple materials. Measure and arranges materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from Supervisor. Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws. Use various hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects. Ensure the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as tape measures, levels, framing squares; corrects problems as needed. Fit and install windows and doors. Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment. Perform other related duties as assigned. What Requirements Are Needed Must be able to read a tape measure Comfortable working with sheet metal Ability to understand directions and read blueprints. Experience as a skilled carpenter, drywall technician, framer, or general laborer required. Experience working with different carpentry materials, and understanding of carpentry techniques/methods of installation construction. Good understanding of basic math and ability to read a tape measure. Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. Walking/Standing/Bending for long periods of time. Physical & Mental Requirements Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties. Required to frequently lift and move 10-50 pounds. Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, and operate objects, tools, and controls. What You Get Paid The position pays a competitive hourly rate.
