About the Role KOR Builders is a growing construction company specializing in multifamily apartment renovations — full unit turns from the studs out to finished bathrooms and fixtures. We're hiring a skilled carpenter who's ready to grow into a leadership role. You'll run your own work rebuilding units start to finish, and as the company scales, step up to Lead Carpenter/Crew Lead — directing a crew, owning the schedule on your jobs, and serving as our point person in the field. This is a long-term opportunity for a tradesperson who takes pride in their work, wants more responsibility over time, and is ready to grow with the business. What You'll Do Perform rough and finish carpentry through full unit renovations Install doors and windows in both brick and wood-framed openings Install and trim out cabinetry to spec Lay subfloor and install finish flooring Paint — prep, cut-in, and finish coats Frame and build out walls, partitions, and structures as needed Read and work from blueprints, plans, and verbal direction Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately Operate hand and power tools safely (circular saw, nail gun, drill, level, etc.) Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site daily Assist and help direct other crew members as needed Follow all OSHA and company safety standards As you move toward the lead role, responsibilities expand to include running the daily crew, coordinating materials and schedule, communicating with the Operating Manager, and ensuring quality and safety across the job. What We're Looking For Required 2+ years of carpentry experience, rough through finish Hands-on experience with: door and window installation in brick and wood framing, cabinetry, subfloor and finish flooring, painting Ability to read blueprints and run a task with minimal supervision Reliable transportation and on-time, every-day dependability Strong work ethic and attention to detail Valid driver's license Own basic hand tools Preferred (and what moves you toward lead) Experience directing or mentoring other crew members Ability to manage a job site's daily flow — materials, sequence, quality Clear communication and reliability others can build a schedule around Physical Requirements Lift and carry up to 50-75 lbs repeatedly throughout the day Carry materials up and down stairs in multi-story buildings (often no elevator) Stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders/scaffolding, and work at heights Tolerate dust, demo debris, and varying jobsite conditions Sustained physical activity for a full workday Path to Lead Carpenter / Crew Lead This role is built to advance. As you demonstrate skill, reliability, and the ability to direct work, you'll move into leading your own crew — with corresponding pay increases and added responsibility. We're looking for someone who wants that path, not just a paycheck. Timeline depends on performance and company growth, typically within [6-18 months].
