The carpenter will utilize a variety of power tools and perform a variety of construction duties including but not limited to demolition, framing, building stairs, installing cabinets, tiling, installing fixtures and completing finishing work. Responsibilities Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge. Follow established safety rules and regulations Maintain a safe and clean environment Verify the trueness of structure using lasers and level. Shape or cut materials to specified measurements Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout Determine dimensions and materials required for projects. Assemble and fasten materials to make framework or props with wood screws, nails, dowel pins, and/or glue. Operate hand tools, machines, and power saw for various needs. Ability to complete installation in all situations under manufacturer's installation guidelines. Perform measuring, sizing, and cutting tasks Conduct mathematics and the application to construction. Qualifications High school education or
GED. 3-7
years experience in general construction labor. Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Strong organization, and collaboration skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to speak effectively before customers or subcontractors of the organization. Displays a high level of professionalism. Thorough understanding of the building processes for remodels and knowledge of all applicable building codes related to a project. Ability to read and to understand floor plans and elevations. Be a high-integrity problem solver dealing with variables throughout the home remodeling process. Self-motivated and skilled at using your time efficiently.
