Job Description

Job Overview A skilled and dedicated carpenter, you will be instrumental in executing a variety of building projects, ensuring that each phase—from framing to finishing—is completed with precision and quality. Croghan Home LLC is a licensed and insured residential general contractor specializing in remodeling, room additions, and restoration work. We focus heavily on customers seeking high quality remodeling with no surprises. We take pride in our craftsmanship, and our employees speak with dignity about the work they perform.
Work Hours:
Start:
8:00 AM (depending on jobsite/schedule, negotiable)
End:
4:00 PM (depending on start time and work pending completion) 40 Hrs/Wk +/-
Benefits:
Paid time off, paid sick time, health/dental/vision insurance (for qualifying full time employees)
Personal Tool Allowance:
$50 per month per employee
Skills Required:
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret Architectural plans Aptitude with all basic hand tools and power tools, hammers, saws, chisels, drills, etc. Communication skills - Ability to understand and communicate complex information in a way that supervisors and laborers understand Ability to frame walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, sheath. Basic understanding of requirements for structural code and design intent. Ability to begin with the end in mind. Create conditions for seamless transition to the next phase of the project. You're responsible for the next stage in the project having the requirements for installation of materials and/or finished surfaces. Ability to execute work from blueprints. Knowledge of level/square/plumb requirements, and aptitude for utilizing the tools of a carpenter to achieve the desired outcomes
Duties:
Read designs and/or drawings as they are provided and plan daily work as it is assigned by supervisor Create cut sheets for materials to complete a project or portion of a project. Perform carpentry tasks such as framing, sheathing, drywall, door and window installation Deliver work up to the standards required for high-end construction, working within the tolerances allowed by the desired final product.

Pay:
$27.00 - $35.00 per hour
