Under the direction of the Owner and Construction Manager, and with the assistance of additional labor, the Finish Carpenter will execute the trim out of rehabilitation projects to a high standard of care and detail. Jobs will range from full historic renovations to apartment turnovers. Skills and Qualifications Prior experience in a range of construction trades. Proficiency in using standard carpentry tools and techniques. Understanding of building code and standards of construction. Ability to read basic construction drawings and measurements. Strong attention to detail and quality. Possess a sense of urgency in meeting deadlines without compromising quality. Reliability and willingness to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to troubleshoot on-site issues and provide creative solutions. Desire to grow in the trade. Responsibilities Perform a variety of carpentry and other finish tasks including installation of trim, doors, flooring, cabinetry, and hardware; painting; drywall taping and patching; tilesetting; and smaller window installation and framing jobs. Oversee punch list execution at the end of a project. Assist carpenters with larger jobs, including interior framing, deck building, window installation. Assist in unloading, staging, and organizing materials. Follow directions from the Construction Manager and adapt to evolving site conditions. Communicate issues, questions, and requests to Construction Manager and/or Owner Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Use hand and power tools with proper safety and care. Wear required PPE and follow all site safety protocols. Occasionally, interface with subcontractors and suppliers under supervision. Requirements Must supply basic set of tools Ability to stand, walk, work with your hands, climb ladders, work on scaffolding, move 50 lbs independently for extended periods of time Ability to work in heat and cold, within reason, as necessary Maintain reliable form of transportation and driver's license
