Job Description

Day to
Day Job Responsibilities:
Assist full time carpenters with building maintenance projects including but not limited to painting, patching, plumbing, carpentry, moving of furniture, etc. Serve as on duty carpenter during evening concerts and events. Assist in setup and breakdown of all events. This includes but is not limited to moving/stacking tables, chairs. Assists in keeping all storage areas and carpentry shop are kept clean and orderly. Takes part in building walks with Sr. Operations Manager and Maintenance Foreman to identify and prioritize maintenance projects. Identifies equipment that needs to be maintained and assists in developing a plan to carry out necessary repairs and upkeep. Operates forklift for show load in/out upon request. Oversees casual labor when hired to work in the theatre. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Forklift certification Basic knowledge of MS Office and Outlook. Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative with minimal supervision. Maintain an effective working relationship with employees and others encountered through the course of employment. Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results in a fast-paced environment. Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with other in both oral and written form. Safety Promote, execute, and adhere to the company's safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors, and consultants to adopt safety as a culture. Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others. Qualifications Ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to lift at least 35 pounds. Extensive periods of walking, bending, and kneeling are necessary depending on the task that has been assigned.
