Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Painting and Carpentry Specialist to join our maintenance/remodel team. This role involves performing commercial painting projects, along with carpentry and plumbing work related to renovation, restoration, and remodeling. The ideal candidate will have experience with various hand and power tools, , and construction site procedures. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from interior finishes to , utilizing a broad skill set in painting and carpentry. Duties Prepare surfaces for painting or finishing, including sanding, plastering, caulking, and priming. Apply paint, stain, or coatings using airless spray equipment, brushes, or rollers for residential and commercial projects. Execute carpentry tasks such as trim installation, framing, fixture mounting, and schematic interpretation. . Measure and calculate materials using basic math skills for estimating project needs. Operate construction tools such as hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and ladders safely and efficiently. Assist with demolition, renovation, restoration, and remodeling tasks on construction sites. Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion and quality standards. Requirements Proven experience in commercial painting as well as carpentry/plumbing within construction settings. Knowledge of construction estimating,. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools including airless paint sprayers, welding equipment, and masonry tools. Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and protocols. Skills in caulking, trim carpentry, drywall application, fixture installation, framing carpentry, and industrial painting are highly desirable. Prior maintenance person experience or maintenance background is a plus. Ability to work from detailed instructions. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment. Physical capability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy materials and working at heights if necessary.
