Job Description

Clearwater Builders of Montana is a growing fine custom home builder based in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley in Stevensville, MT. We specialize in high-end, detail-driven residential construction. We take pride in bringing architectural visions to life to the highest standards, and we treat our team like family. As we expand, we are looking for a dedicated craftsman who shares our passion to join our crew. Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and self-directed Interior Finish Carpenter for a full-time position. In this role, you will be tasked with transforming raw spaces into beautifully detailed, high-end interiors. Because we build custom homes, no two projects are identical—you must be a creative problem solver who can maintain a high level of quality without constant supervision. What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
Precision Installation:
Execute high-end interior finish carpentry, including custom trim, baseboards, crown molding, casing, complex ceiling treatments, and wainscoting.
Custom Built-Ins & Cabinetry:
Install custom architectural millwork, high-end cabinetry, built-ins, and complex hardware with flawless alignment.
Door & Window Interior Trim:
Set and hang custom interior/exterior doors, ensuring reveals, operations, and hardware installation.
Site Management & Leadership:
Work independently or as part of a small team on-site, managing your workflow efficiently to meet building schedules.
Safety & Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Take excellent care of company and personal tools. What We're Looking For (Qualifications)
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of professional carpentry experience, with a heavy emphasis and proven track record in high-end finish/trim carpentry.
Attributes:
A motivated self-starter who can maintain a professional relationship with clients and others on the jobsite. You don't wait to be told what to do next; you anticipate the next phase of the build and execute it.
Skills:
Exceptional eye for detail, and the ability to read and interpret complex architectural blueprints.
Tools & Transport:
Must possess your own reliable transportation and a comprehensive set of personal hand tools. Specialty tools provided
Location:
Ability to reliably commute to job sites in and around the Stevensville/Bitterroot Valley area. Job Details & Benefits •
