Hours :
Full-time, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (with flexibility for extended hours as required) OR 7:00AM-5:30PM Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter/Handyman to join our team and support the repair division of our reputable paint company. This role primarily focuses on carpentry, general repairs, and light plumbing services, with occasional support on painting projects as needed. The ideal candidate will be versatile, detail-oriented, and capable of performing a variety of residential and commercial maintenance tasks while delivering high-quality workmanship that meets or exceeds client expectations. Key Responsibilities Perform carpentry tasks including framing, trim work, cabinetry, door and window installation/repair, siding repairs, and general structural repairs. Handle handyman duties such as drywall repair, hardware installation, fixture replacement, caulking, minor flooring repairs, and other residential and commercial maintenance services. Perform light plumbing work including fixture replacements, toilet repairs, faucet repairs, garbage disposal replacement, minor leak repairs, and basic plumbing maintenance. Support painting crews when additional labor is needed, including surface preparation, masking, cutting-in, rolling, spraying, and finish work. Follow job orders, project timelines, budgets, and quality standards established by the Project Manager. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment on all job sites and follow all company safety policies and procedures. Operate company tools, equipment, trailers, and vehicles responsibly and report maintenance or repair needs promptly. Communicate professionally and clearly with team members, supervisors, subcontractors, and clients as needed. Accurately track labor hours, materials used, change orders, and job-related expenses. Identify additional repair needs or potential project opportunities and communicate findings to the Project Manager. Report daily progress for themselves and their crew to the Project Manager by 5:00 PM, including completed work, upcoming tasks, material needs, and any issues affecting the schedule. Assist with material pickups, deliveries, and job site setup as needed. Qualifications & Skills Proven experience as a carpenter, handyman, or in a related skilled trade. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Basic knowledge of painting preparation and finishing techniques. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality workmanship Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and authorization to work in the United States. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly. Comfortable with climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly wage (based on experience starting at $21). Eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
