Overview Join our dynamic team as a Glazier/Helper and be a vital part of transforming spaces with expert glass installation and fabrication! This energetic role offers the opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, from commercial storefronts to residential remodels. As a key contributor, you'll assist skilled glaziers in installing, repairing, and fabricating glass and related materials, ensuring precision and quality every step of the way. Whether you're experienced in construction or eager to learn, this position provides a rewarding environment where your skills grow and your contributions make a visible impact. Duties Assist with cutting, measuring, and fitting glass panels using hand tools, power tools, and schematics to ensure accurate installation. Support the installation of fixtures, cabinets, doors, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing on various construction sites. Handle heavy lifting of glass sheets and materials safely while adhering to safety protocols. Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications for glazing, framing, and remodeling tasks. Prepare surfaces through caulking, construction painting, or drywall finishing to ensure seamless installations. Aid in fabrication processes within manufacturing or workshop settings for custom glass or metal components. Perform general handyman tasks such as assembly, remodeling assistance, and site cleanup to support project progress. Experience Previous experience working on construction sites or in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred. Familiarity with construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings is advantageous. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, metal stud framing, fixture installation, and carpentry enhances your suitability for this role. Knowledge of glazing techniques including glass installation, caulking, door hanging, cabinet installation, and trim carpentry is a plus. Demonstrated ability to lift heavy materials safely and work effectively in physically demanding environments is essential. Prior handyman experience or involvement in remodeling projects will support your success in this position.
