In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and finishing interior and exterior trim components for upscale homes across the Triangle. Your expertise will contribute to creating polished, high-quality finishes that enhance the aesthetic and functional value of our clients' spaces. This position offers an exciting opportunity for hands-on craftsmanship, working with a diverse range of materials and techniques to bring architectural visions to life. You will learn from some of the best carpenters in the area, and your pay will increase with experience. Must have liability and worker's compensation insurance. Duties Measure, cut, assemble, and install baseboards, crown molding, door casings, window casings, wainscoting, and other decorative woodwork with precision and attention to detail Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation aligned with project specifications Utilize hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and levels as well as power tools including drills and nail guns to complete tasks efficiently Collaborate with project managers, framers, electricians, and other trades to coordinate installation processes on-site Prepare surfaces by cleaning or sanding prior to installation; perform finishing touches like caulking and touch-up painting for seamless results Maintain a safe work environment Skills Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in woodworking and finishing tasks Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings for precise installations Familiarity with construction site safety standards Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during fixture or cabinet installations Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with handyman experience for versatile project support Historic restoration experience is a plus Ability to provide own tools will be reflected in pay Join us if you're passionate about craftsmanship and eager to contribute your expertise in a construction environment.
