Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Carpenter Apprentice to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry and construction projects, providing a valuable foundation for a career in the trades. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, safety-conscious, and interested in developing skills across multiple carpentry disciplines including framing, trim work, and restoration. This role involves working on diverse projects such as residential, commercial, and restoration sites, with opportunities to gain exposure to blueprint reading, fabrication, and installation processes. Responsibilities Assist experienced carpenters in constructing, installing, and repairing structures using hand tools and power tools Support framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, cabinet installation, siding, roofing, and drywall work Participate in concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, and flooring or tile laying as part of project tasks Aid in the fabrication of components such as fixtures or custom woodwork using woodworking techniques Assist with restoration projects including water damage remediation, mold remediation, plastering, stucco application, and water damage restoration Support heavy lifting and material handling on-site while adhering to safety protocols Contribute to site preparation activities such as demolition, site cleanup, and material staging Follow safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment for all team members Qualifications Basic knowledge of construction tools including hand tools and power tools Familiarity with construction site procedures and safety standards Experience or interest in various trades such as framing, roofing, masonry, electrical work, plumbing or restoration industry experience is a plus Strong work ethic with the ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude One-year hands-on experience in construction or handyman work is required. Willingness to learn new skills across different areas of carpentry and construction disciplines
