Job Description

Carpenter Foreman SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking a Carpenter Foreman that will provide oversight to project carpentry crews and coordinate, implement and supervise all self-performed work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure proper IWP is in place and understood by the crew; examine blueprints to determine structure dimensions Lay out floor plans and cabinetwork using tape, framing square, and calipers Select and inspect materials and structural units (lumber, prefabricated doors, cabinets, paneling) for code compliance Determine sequence of fabrication, assembly, and erection activities; assign tasks to workers Inspect subcontractor work (ductwork, wiring, pipe installations) for specification conformance Install doors, build stairs, lay hardwood floors, and perform concrete and rough carpentry (hand set walls, footings, gang wall forms, structural concrete decks, slabs, columns, drywall) Perform finish carpentry (set door frames, hang doors, install hardware, toilet accessories, handrails, partitions, lockers, cabinets, countertops, wall paneling, coffered ceilings, running trim) Lead team members by example, offer coaching and feedback, build relationships with diverse individuals, and perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED Completion of apprenticeship program Ability to work with precision, visualize solid objects from drawings, read plans, and operate equipment (table saws, radial arm saws, belt & disc sanders, drill presses, fall protection equipment, rigging, and form systems) Strong teamwork orientation, positive attitude, professional customer service skills, detail orientation, and effective communication including active listening and openness to diverse input and feedback Minimum of five (5) years of related experience Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements •Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
