Lead Carpenter BearHand Construction is looking for a Skilled Carpenter to join our dedicated and growing Team in the residential remodeling industry. BearHand is a Veteran owned small business with a reputation for quality and transparency. We provide design-to-finish services for all residential remodeling projects with a specialization in whole-home remodel & reconstruction. Responsibilities:
We are looking for a candidate that is knowledgeable in all facets of general construction with a strong emphasis in residential remodel (framing, finish carpentry, drywall, painting, exterior work, etc.) to be able to construct and direct crews and resources in an efficient and quality manner. Our desired candidate is a leader in the field, not afraid to take on new challenges, problem solver, and can teach and grow less experienced tradesmen.
Job Requirements include:
  • Read, understand and develop construction plans, scopes and designs in the field.
  • Manage in field personnel and subcontractors.
  • Complete a variety of construction activities with speed, precision, and quality.
  • Excellent attention to detail, perfectionist and pride in work
  • Conduct all construction related activities in compliance with current codes and addendums
  • Comply with OSHA safety requirements and supervise personnel in the field.
  • Work with job project managers on changes or issues of projects and develop solutions
  • Maintain a clean work environment
  • Present a clean and neat appearance
  • Communicate with customers on a regular basis
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience required. 15+ years of experience preferred. Heavy emphasis on high quality framing
  • In depth knowledge of current ICC building codes
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Able to lift 50lb and conduct moderately demanding tasks for a sustained period
  • Skilled/knowledgeable in general carpentry tasks
  • CSL, OSHA-30, RRP and additional certifications are a plus
  • Pass a criminal background check for major offenses
