In-House Carpenter/Carpenter Apprentice

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dependable Carpenter or Carpenter Apprentice to join our residential construction team. This role involves working on new home builds, renovations, and remodeling projects. You will assist with or perform a wide range of carpentry tasks, contributing to high-quality craftsmanship in residential settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with and perform framing, decking, siding, and interior finish work Install doors, windows, cabinets, trim, and other residential components Measure, cut, and assemble materials according to plans and specifications Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and job site instructions Support remodeling and renovation projects, including demolition and rebuilds Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean job site Follow all safety procedures and building codes Work collaboratively with crew members, contractors, and supervisors

Apprentice Responsibilities:

Assist experienced carpenters with daily tasks on job sites Learn residential construction techniques and best practices Safely use and maintain hand and power tools Take direction and progressively handle more complex tasks

Qualifications:

Carpenter:

2+ years of residential carpentry or construction experience preferred Ability to work independently and complete tasks to specification Experience with framing and/or finish carpentry

Apprentice:

Entry-level; construction experience is a plus but not required Strong interest in learning carpentry and residential building

Skills & Requirements:

Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math Familiarity with hand tools and power tools Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship Reliable transportation and punctuality Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on feet throughout the day Ability to work in varying weather conditions

Work Environment:

Active residential construction sites (new builds and remodels) Outdoor and indoor work in all seasons Fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Pay:

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 40.0 per week People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
