This role is responsible for performing and supervising tasks related to cabinetry, millwork, and trim installation. The Lead Finish Carpenter will provide guidance to a small team, ensure work meets exacting quality standards, and maintain productivity across a diverse portfolio of multifamily rehabilitation and new construction projects. Key Responsibilities Execute and supervise the installation of millwork, cabinetry, baseboards, crown molding, and door/window casings with precision. Install interior and exterior doors, ensuring proper fit and function. Install finish hardware, including locks, handles, pulls, and other fixtures. Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of design plans. Lead, mentor, and direct a small team of apprentice carpenters and laborers, enforcing quality standards and safe work practices. Ensure all finished work is free of defects, plumb, level, and true to plan. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all OSHA regulations. Troubleshoot and resolve complex carpentry issues that arise during renovation and new construction. Qualifications and Skills Minimum of 2 years of high-end finish carpentry experience. Minimum of two years in a lead or supervisory role, with proven ability to manage a small crew. Demonstrable expertise in cabinetry, trim (molding, casing), and hardware installation. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications. Expert-level knowledge of woodworking tools, power tools, materials, and techniques. Experience in both new construction and renovation/rehabilitation projects is required. Strong leadership, communication, and team-mentoring skills. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. Must possess a personal set of professional hand tools and reliable transportation.
