Exam may be required Department Technical Resources Salary range: $62.37 - $62.37 Save Job Description The Technical Resources Department is seeking a qualified Supervisor of Carpenter to join its Carpentry Unit to oversee special repair projects, executive and mayoral programs, address backlogs and ensure the work is completed efficiently, quality standards and adhering to agreed upon schedules. Under general supervision, the Supervisor of Carpenter duties will include, but are not limited to: 1. Supervise and coordinate daily activities of carpenters and other assigned personnel. 2. Plan, assign and review work to ensure it meets project specifications and quality standards. 3. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project documents to guide carpentry tasks. 4. Ensure proper use and maintenance of carpentry tools, equipment, and materials. 5. Monitor work progress and make adjustments to schedules as needed. 6. Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes. 7. Train, mentoring, and providing technical guidance to carpenters. 8. Enforce safety protocols and promote a safe work environment. 9. Communicate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to coordinate activities. 10. Assist with material procurement and inventory management for carpentry needs.
