About the Role We're looking for a skilled Carpenter to join our team. This role is hands‑on, fast‑paced, and ideal for someone who enjoys precision work, problem‑solving, and contributing to high‑quality builds. Key Responsibilities Operate band saws and circular saws to cut metal stock to exact lengths and angles. Use a variety of hand and power tools for layout, drilling, tapping, deburring, and fit‑up. Operate orbital sanders and grinders to prep surfaces, remove weld spatter, and achieve specified finishes. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions. Fabricate metal components to specification and assist with assembly tasks. Support welders and fitters with prep, handling, and part fit‑up. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; participate in daily and weekly shop cleanup. Engage in cross‑training and on‑the‑job learning to expand fabrication and equipment skills. Required Skills & Experience Experience with band/circular saws, grinders, orbital sanders, and common hand/power tools. Ability to read blueprints and follow technical instructions accurately. Basic understanding of metals (steel, aluminum, alloys) and shop math (fractions, decimals, conversions). Strong commitment to safety, including consistent PPE use and adherence to shop procedures. High attention to detail, quality, and dimensional accuracy. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
