This role is ideal for a skilled carpenter who takes pride in craftsmanship, can lead a small team, and is comfortable coordinating daily jobsite activity with homeowners, inspectors, tradespeople, and apprentices. The Lead Carpenter will help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality. Responsibilities Carpentry and Craftsmanship Perform rough and finish carpentry with a high level of skill, accuracy, and attention to detail. Complete remodeling tasks efficiently while maintaining excellent workmanship. Ensure all work meets company quality standards and project expectations. Leadership and Team Management Lead and supervise tradespeople, craftsmen, and apprentices on the jobsite. Assign tasks clearly and explain expectations. Train team members on proper tool use, techniques, safety practices, and project procedures. Help improve team efficiency, skill level, and overall jobsite performance. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment. Daily Planning and Coordination Plan upcoming tasks and coordinate daily jobsite priorities. Review materials needed in advance to help prevent delays. Track materials, tools, and supplies to ensure the jobsite stays properly stocked. Communicate material needs and project updates to the appropriate team members. Jobsite Safety and Organization Oversee jobsite safety and ensure safety protocols are followed. Keep the jobsite, trailer, tools, and materials clean, organized, and secure. Promote a safe, efficient, and respectful work environment. Communication Communicate professionally with homeowners when questions or concerns arise. Provide regular updates to management regarding: Job progress Schedule changes or delays Customer feedback or concerns Tool repairs or replacements Material needs Inspections and Project Benchmarks Meet with inspectors as needed to ensure work complies with local codes and standards. Coordinate daily activities to help ensure project benchmarks and schedules are met. Identify potential issues early and communicate solutions. Qualifications Strong experience in rough and finish carpentry. Knowledge of residential remodeling and related trades. Ability to read plans, follow specifications, and execute high-quality work. Leadership experience or the ability to supervise and train others. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship. Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite. Reliable transportation and basic carpentry tools preferred. Ability to interact professionally with homeowners, inspectors, and team members.
Pay:
$32.00 - $36.00 per hour
