Job Summary Join our dynamic construction team as a Carpenter Apprentice,, this is a prevailing wage job with the countywhere you will gain hands-on experience and develop essential skills in the carpentry trade. This paid apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals while contributing to a variety of construction projects. You will assist with framing, trim work, roofing, and restoration tasks, helping to build high-quality structures and improve existing ones. If you're eager to grow your expertise in construction and craftsmanship, this role is the perfect starting point for your career in carpentry. Duties Support skilled carpenters with framing, and installing fiberglass cornice. Assist with measuring, cutting, and assembling materials using hand tools and power tools Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project requirements Help with concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry tasks on-site Participate in restoration activities such as water damage remediation, plastering, stucco application, and mold remediation Aid in the installation of fixtures, flooring, tiles, and cabinetry while ensuring precise craftsmanship Perform heavy lifting safely and assist with scaffolding setup and site cleanup to maintain a safe work environment Skills Basic knowledge of construction estimating and blueprint reading Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and CNC machinery used in fabrication and assembly Experience or interest in trim carpentry, metal stud framing, roofing, siding, and drywall installation Understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, masonry, and water damage restoration processes Ability to follow schematics accurately and work effectively from detailed instructions Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights or on scaffolding Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude toward learning new techniques Embark on a rewarding journey into the world of construction by developing versatile skills that open doors to a wide range of industry opportunities.
