Cincinnati, Ohio Summary:
The role performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, HVAC, and electrical work.
Essential Duties:
Execute all carpentry work with precision Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Handle heavy lifting and perform demolition or renovation tasks as required, up to 100 lbs Apply schematics for electrical or mechanical systems during installation or repair processes Contribute to remodeling projects by fabricating custom components and installing various fixtures Work involves a variety of the following duties: using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings; painting structures and equipment; repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps and sidewalks; and replacing damaged paneling and replacing broken windowpanes.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED Proven experience in construction blueprint reading, and schematic interpretation Extensive background in carpentry including trim, frame, metal stud framing, cabinet installation, and door hanging Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools Demonstrated experience with flooring installation, masonry, and remodeling projects Familiarity with plumbing systems and electrical wiring is preferred Industry experience in restoration or general construction is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on various job sites A Background Check and Drug Screen will be performed for this position.
