About Us From commercial office space and manufacturing to multi-site retail portfolios, we manage and support over 1 billion square feet of facilities space for the nation's leading organizations. We provide comprehensive facility services ranging from mechanical maintenance and self-performed, site-based operations to energy-efficiency upgrades and supplier-managed interior/exterior maintenance. Job Summary The Project Carpenter Lead is responsible for the planning, coordination, and field execution of construction and maintenance projects across multiple accounts. This role serves as the primary on‑site leader, overseeing subcontractors and field associates while managing schedule, cost, quality, safety, and client expectations. The Project Carpenter Lead works closely with Managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract documents. The role will include hands‑on field work as required to support project success. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and lead assigned projects from start through closeout, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget objectives are met. Develop and manage short-term and look-ahead schedules; coordinate labor, subcontractors, materials, and equipment to maintain productivity. Supervise subcontractors and field associates on site, providing direction, resolving issues, and enforcing quality and safety standards. Perform hands-on construction tasks (framing, drywall, ceilings, doors, finishes, etc.) as required to support field operations and project deadlines. Hands-on duties include but are not limited to:
- Frame metal stud or wood framing, hang and finish drywall in preparation for finishes, erect acoustic ceiling grid and install acoustic ceiling pads.
- Install wood and hollow metal frames and doors, including associated hardware including locks, closers, and panic devices.
- Install wood trim including base, crown molding, chair rail, and door trim.
- Install cabinets/casework and countertops, install vinyl composition tile flooring as well as carpet tile, assemble and install specialty items such as lockers, benches, toilet accessories and partitions Monitor project costs, labor hours, and material usage; identify variances and communicate risks or corrective actions to management.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Basic understanding of project budgets, labor tracking, and schedules
- Proficiency with mobile devices and documentation tools (daily reports, photos, logs) Ability to lead and coordinate multiple trades and work activities on active jobsites Strong planning, organization, and time-management skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as construction drawings, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
