Commercial Construction Compensation:

Base Hourly Pay with additional pay for travel, lodging, per diem, and weekly vehicle allowance for Foreman (Paid weekly) Position Summary Commercial Carpenter is responsible for independently performing skilled installation of metal stud framing, drywall systems, and acoustical ceiling (ACT) systems on commercial job sites. This role requires strong knowledge of construction methods, the ability to read plans, and consistent delivery of high-quality work in a safe and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities Install metal stud framing, drywall, and acoustical ceiling systems per plans and specifications Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and project documents Perform layout, measure, cut, and install materials with precision Maintain production pace while ensuring quality workmanship Follow all jobsite safety standards and company policies Work collaboratively with foremen, project managers, and other trades Identify and communicate potential issues before they impact production Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment Lead, manage, and develop field crews on commercial job sites Plan daily and weekly work to meet project schedules and production goals Read and interpret blueprints to direct layout and installation Ensure all work meets company quality standards and specifications Enforce safety policies and maintain a safe jobsite environment Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and other trades Track labor productivity and adjust crews as needed Identify and resolve jobsite challenges proactively Train and mentor journeyman and apprentice-level team members Qualifications 4+ years of commercial carpentry experience 2+ years in a leadership or foreman role preferred Strong experience with metal stud framing, drywall systems, and ACT Ability to read plans and manage layout independently Proven ability to lead crews and manage production schedules Strong communication and problem-solving skills Reliable transportation and ability to travel as required
