This is not a "show up and swing a hammer" position.
We need someone who can:
lead crews, understand plans and project scope, organize projects step-by-step, maintain quality standards, communicate with management, and take ownership of the job site from start to finish. The right candidate will be a working leader — someone who leads by example, works alongside the crew, maintains culture, and ensures projects are completed the right way without constant supervision. What You'll Be Responsible For:
Run day-to-day operations on active job sites Understand project plans, specifications, and scope of work Create step-by-step construction plans and organized task lists Coordinate workflow and keep projects moving efficiently Identify problems early and develop practical solutions Maintain project timelines and quality expectations Crew Leadership & Accountability Lead and manage crews of up to 3 carpenters/laborers Conduct daily morning meetings and safety talks Maintain accountability, professionalism, and productivity on site Train and mentor crew members Lead through example, instruction, and attitude Maintain a positive, team-oriented company culture Quality & Production Ensure all work meets company quality standards Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites Minimize material waste and promote efficient production Track materials and notify management when supplies are low Ensure proper use of tools, materials, and equipment Work hands-on alongside the crew as an active carpenter Documentation & Communication Fill out daily logs and progress reports Take progress photos and communicate updates to project management Track labor hours and complete timecards by task/project phase Participate in pre-construction meetings with project managers Help establish project goals, sequencing, expectations, and outcomes before work begins
